Let’s face it: I am lazy when it comes to breakfast. Smoothies have become a staple of mine because I can throw just about anything into the blender and run out the door.
You don’t need an expensive $500 blender to produce a kickass drink! It can be as simple as a banana + berries + milk (or milk alternative). If you’ve got a juicer and the time, juicing some veggies to replace the milk adds even more vitamins and minerals to jumpstart your day.
My favorite combinations right now:
I then add the above into my blender, along with the juice base. For added sustainable energy and satiety, throw in some protein (powdered or yogurt). I’ve been trying out the Orgain Organic Protein Powder that utilizes plant-based protein (brown rice, pea, hemp, chia) and the vanilla version is bomb.
